Buildings Director
The Buildings Director’s main task is to negotiate contracts for the external painting and repair work with the aid of the Managing Agent and a professional surveyor.
In support of the Buildings Director, the Managing Agent deals with the administration of contracts, leases, contract workers arrangements, matters involving the Freeholder, and relations with bodies such as Historic England.
Adriaane Pielou
Communications Director
The Communications Director’s remit is to facilitate the dissemination of news and information to Residents at The Paragon. In addition, the aim is to encourage dialogue between all parties at the Paragon - leaseholders, tenants, managing agents.
Adriaane is a freelance journalist. Born in Surrey, she grew up in South-East Asia (army family), spent the 1990s working in New York, and has written for numerous national publications including The Daily Telegraph, Conde Nast Traveller, Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine, and The National, Abu Dhabi. She has lived at our beloved Paragon - with husband Graham Boynton - since 2006.
Catherine Brun
Company Secretarial Director
Catherine grew up in Blackheath before gaining extensive overseas experience in France and Italy where she obtained her MBA. She subsequently gained further qualifications as a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Financial Analyst.
Her role as senior investment specialist at an asset management firm occupies a large part of her daily life. In addition to using her French and Italian, Catherine enjoys playing the violin and harp. Recognising that The Paragon is a “gem”, she has also decided to pursue the study of gemology!
Steve Chaves
Finance Director (Co-chair)
The Finance Director has responsibility for oversight of the quarterly service charge invoices, statutory accounts, treasury and budget.
In support of the Finance Director, the Managing Agent deals with the administration of the above and control & monitoring of the bank accounts and financial systems.
After completing a BSc in Business Studies and Japanese, Steve trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, and in 2012 gained the MCT qualification from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
When he isn’t buried in a spreadsheet, as a keen cyclist and (Ironman) triathlete, Steve will either be found swim/bike/running somewhere around Blackheath and the Kent hills or replenishing spent calories in a local establishment.
Anne Beck
Garden Director
The PMC Board has a responsibility to ensure that the garden is reasonably and economically maintained. The Garden Director is concerned with ensuring the garden is maintained in accordance with the scope set out under contracts with each contractor per the budget agreed by the PMC directors.
In support of the Garden Director, the Managing Agent deals with the administration of contracts and relationships with contractors involved with the Garden.
